Dear Jin,

I want to thank you for the outstanding customer service and craftsmanship on my new shirt.
I had been to several other stores which carried made to measure shirts and some custom shirts;
but none seemed to understand my request. You not
only understood my request, you designed and fitted the shirt perfectly.
I will be sure to return and will send my friends to you,too.

Thanks again,

Matt Sutton

Again, I would just like to thank you for making me a shirt that resembles the “Edwardian era” or the “Progressive era”  This time period was from the 1890’s to World War I.  During that time frame a unique style for men was popular – Detachable shirt collars.  A lot of the pictures I have seen from this time frame show men wearing very high stiff collars. The collars were usually made of celluloid.  Celluloid collars disappeared after World War I. To me they have a distinctive look.  I searched and searched tailor after tailor to see if any one of them could make a shirt that would have that unique look.  None of them would make me what I wanted. Not MASTERTAILOR.  I showed Jin pictures and adds from the early 1900’s and he was able to make me what I wanted.  I can not say how much talent Jin King Lee truly has. NOT KIDDING.  No one that I know of has a shirt like mine. The collar is made of linen and is very comfortable.  Between 1 to 5 stars I would give his customer 5 stars. With 5 being the best. Jin was always friendly and understood what I was talking about. The shirt Jin made for me is very classy, proper and formal. It looks exactly like that bygone era.  Thanks Jin  ~ Matt Sutton

  1. The request I made to Jin was if he could make a shirt like the shirts made between the 1890’s – World War I. That era was known as the “Edwardian Era” During that era detachable shirt collars were the normal dress. Usually they were made of Celluloid. Celluloid collars have a distinct look. Check out the pictures from the 1900’s and the men will have stiff upper collars that rise almost to the chin. The add you see to the left is an add for detachable collars in 1909. To the right is an antique display of the collars. After World War I detachable collars vanished very quickly to the collars we have today. I asked Jin if he could make a collar with my custom shirt that resembled that early look! As you can see he was able to do so. That I know of, he is the only tailor in the city of Indianapolis that is able to do so. Bit by bit the old style and look is coming back. Thanks again ~ Matt
